Physical Features

Location:

Franklin is a city located in Williamson County in Tennessee.  According to Tennessee Code Annotated, there are three grand divisions of the state: the eastern, middle, and western.  Since Franklin lies in Williamson County that makes it part of the middle division.  Franklin accounts for about 30 square miles of Tennessee’s 42,146 square miles, and although that is a small portion it is one of the best cities I’ve ever been to!

This quaint town is a great representative of community and togetherness.  The historic Franklin square and Downtown district is where everyone gathers and the city is truly alive.  The Main Street festival brings 200 artisans and crafters, four stages, two carnivals, and two food courts, along with the residents to celebrate this special town.

Climate:

Tennessee is considered to have a humid subtropical climate, which means hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters.  Boy, are those summers sticky and the winters snowy!  The air is so think in the summers you often feel suffocated the second you leave any sort of air-conditioned area.  However, the winters allow for a beautiful white blanket to envelop the area and keep you cozied up by the fireplace.
